Rohit Sharma is now the holder of several records in T20I”s

Rohit Sharma just surpassed Chris Gayle”s maximum sixes in the shortest format of the game. In the process of his stunning half-century, Rohit hit three huge sixes. He now has 107 sixes in T20I internationals and ranked comfortably at the top.

Choosing to bat first, Rohit and Dhawan started confidently at the top. However, Dhawan wasn”t able to continue throughout. Rohit continued to show his prowess alongside the skipper Kohli to take to a 150+ total.

While the stage was set for posting still a higher total, he was dismissed by Oshane Thomas. A lower-order blitz by Krunal Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja set a total of 168 for the West Indies.

Rohit Sharma now holds several records in T20I formats. Apart from being the highest run-scorer (2422), he also hit the maximum centuries (4) over the years. It is also interesting to note that he holds the record for a maximum of half-centuries(21).

It is evident that Rohit is continuing his fine form from where he left the World tournament. He was the leading the batting charts over 600+ runs and he is looking in good touch in this Carribien tour. As he is a part of all the formats in this tour, we will have to see if he could be the game-changer irrespective of the format of the game.
