Hazlewood showers praise on Rohit Sharma

“He’s got many. I think it’s just with how the ease that he plays, especially anything back of a length, anything short, just puts it away with such ease. It’s just an area in which he gets better, I think.

He never looks to bludgeon the ball, just pure class and elegance. His records, especially in white-ball cricket, is phenomenal”, Hazlewood said on Star Sports show Cricket Connected.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has a phenomenal white-ball record against the Australians both home and away. The number 2 ranked ODI batsman in the world, Rohit has so far scored 8 centuries in ODIs against Australia. Hazelwood pointed out that it is frustrating when a batsman like Rohit is able to play genuine pace so easily.

“Yeah, absolutely (it is annoying when Rohit plays a fast bowler with such grace). I mean the batters through our time, obviously are the frustrating ones to bowl to”.

“Even when someone who came quicker like Mitchell Starc or Pat Cummins’ bowling to those guys, it doesn’t seem fast and that’s probably the one thing that sticks out when you are bowling to these types of players”, said the Australia fast bowler.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharam has been itching to get back on the field. The cricketers have been locked inside their side for almost three months due to the lockdown because of COVID-19 pandemic. The stylish right-handed batsman will be keen to face Australia later this year
