Rohit Sharma Puts In Hard Work At The MCA Gym In Preparation For The Upcoming Test Series

India‘s captain Rohit Sharma was spotted training at the newly renovated gym of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) as he prepared for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The experienced opener has been focusing on his fitness in anticipation of the important Test season for the Indian team.

On September 5, the MCA posted photos of Sharma working out in the gym on its official X account, noting that the 37-year-old was the first to use the updated facility.

MCA Stated:

“We’re thrilled to share a glimpse of the first person to use our newly renovated gym for a workout: our captain, 𝓡𝓸𝓱𝓲𝓽 𝓢𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓪! A new era of fitness begins with him leading the way!”

Rohit Sharma’s most recent appearance was in India’s three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in August, where he was the top performer with scores of 58, 64, and 35. The series opener ended in a tie, but Sri Lanka won the next two matches, earning their first ODI series victory over India in 27 years.

“It is an incredible experience” – Yashasvi Jaiswal shares his views on batting with Rohit Sharma

Team India’s opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal recently shared his experience of batting alongside Rohit Sharma, noting that there is much to learn from the experienced player. He highlighted Sharma’s exceptional pitch awareness. Speaking before the 17th edition of the Duldeep Trophy (via ANI), Jaiswal commented:

“It is an incredible experience whenever I go out and bat with him. He has shared his experiences with me. I think the way he controls the game and understands the wicket, it is spot on and there are a lot of things (to learn from him). You can learn from him things like adjusting your batting to seaming or turning tracks or change your batting when a wicket or two fall.”

The two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh will start on September 19 in Chennai, with the second Test taking place in Kanpur from September 27.
