In a recent interview, Rohit Sharma is seen recalling his thoughts when he was signed by Deccan Chargers in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League 2008.
Rohit Sharma has signed at a price of INR 4.80 crore by the Deccan Chargers’ side and was later auctioned by Mumbai Indians in 2011 at a base price of 13 crore rupees.
He has been one of the most successful captains of the Indian Premier League with a win percentage of 59.68. He has led his side to win 77 matches from the 129 matches played so far.
He further says, he was having a dream to buy a car at the amount he was signed off by Deccan Chargers. He recalls 4-4.8 crore money valuation at that period of time was something he himself haven’t imagined for.
He makes an exclamatory remark that he is happy with his ongoing performance, and what he has done in the past, and still focusing to improve and hustle for the side.

The Mumbai Indian side has bagged some really exceptionally talented players in the side for the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League 2023 comprising of Jhye Richardson, Shams Mulani, Cameron Green, and Piyush Chawla.
It would be interesting to watch whether the side can turn the table around from their previous year’s performance or the big names crumble under pressure once again.
