Will Jacks had a great outing with all-around performances that helped Pretoria Capitals register a comfortable win over Durban Super Giants at SuperSport Park, Centurion on 18th January 2024.
Pretoria Capitals captain Wayne Parnell won the toss and decided to bat first. Phil Salt and Will Jacks showed intent right from the word go putting enough pressure on the Super Giants bowlers. Jacks made the batting look easy with fifty off just 23 deliveries. Salt was dismissed after a blazing start putting on 75 runs quickly laying a strong foundation for a big total.
Jacks kept the momentum for the Capitals team hitting boundaries and sixes with ease. Apart from Jacks, Colin Ingram scored a quickfire knock that put some pressure on Super Giants bowlers. It was a sensational knock as Jacks reached a century off just 41 balls and was dismissed afterwards. Pretoria Capitals lost wickets at regular intervals as they posted 204 for 9 in 20 overs. Jacks made 101 off 42 deliveries with 8 fours and 9 sixes.
In reply, Durban Super Giants made a brisk start with 53 runs on the board with the loss of 1 wicket in the first 6 overs. Jacks was brilliant with his bowling picking the wicket of Kyle Mayers after the first six overs. He then dismissed the dangerous Klassen that dented Durban Super Giants of winning the match. Jacks showed his skills with discipline lines and lengths. He finished with figures of 2 for 18 in 3 overs that helped Pretoria Capitals register 17 runs victory.

For his all-round performance, Will Jacks was named the Player of the Match award. With this victory, the Capitals registered their first victory in this year’s South Africa T20 tournament.

He scored well and made 58 off 34 balls against the same opponent at SuperSport Park, Centurion on 14th January 2024. Jacks showed his attacking skills with a match-winning knock against Durban Super Giants and helped the Capitals register the first victory of SAT20 2024.
