Pacer Kagiso Rabada led South Africa’s bowling attack with a brilliant performance in the first Test against India that got underway on Tuesday, December 26 at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. He bowled a brilliant delivery to dismiss the Shreyas Iyer and push the visitors on the back foot.
Kagiso Rabada rattled the Indian batting attack on the first day of the Test match. In the twenty-seventh over, the pacer bowled a wobble-seam delivery to Shreyas Iyer. The ball pitched on the stumps, and nipped back in, keeping low. Iyer got late to bring his bat down and was clean bowled by Rabada, as the ball went through to disturb the stumps.
The Indian batter had to walk back for 31 runs, ending a good 68-run partnership between him and Virat Kohli. The duo looked in good touch, and the partnership had steadied the Indian innings. However, Rabada’s nip-backer proved to be dangerous for the visitors.

Kagiso Rabada takes a five-for in the first innings of the first Test
Kagiso Rabada has taken a five-wicket haul so far in the first innings of the first Test match against India at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. He sent the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion. Rabada bowled a short of a length delivery to Rohit, who was caught by the fine-leg fielder.
The pacer then dismissed Shreyas Iyer in the very first over after Lunch break. He broke the partnership, providing South Africa a crucial breakthrough. He then made Virat Kohli his third victim as the batter edged an off-stump delivery to the wicket-keeper. Rabada soon sent Ravichandran Ashwin too back in the hut for eight runs. He picked up this fifth dismissing Shardul Thakur off a full outside off stump delivery. India has been reduced to 164 runs for the loss of seven wickets following Shardul’s dismissal.
