SA vs IND: [WATCH] Virat Kohli’s Advice Helps Mohammed Siraj Dismiss Marco Jansen

Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj was at his fiery best during the first innings of the second Test against South Africa on Wednesday, January 3 at the Newlands in Cape Town. He finished the innings with career-best bowling figures, dismantling the South African batting attack. He also took advice from Virat Kohli to dismiss Marco Jansen during the innings.

A video has gone viral on social media from the Test match of Virat Kohli advising Mohammed Siraj. The veteran cricketer can be seen telling Mohammed Siraj where to bowl to induce an edge from Marco Jansen. Siraj followed Virat Kohli’s advice and was rewarded. He bowled a full ball outside the off-stump. Jansen tried to defend the ball, however, it curved away from him taking the outside edge. He was caught by the wicket-keeper KL Rahul.

In response, South Africa took four wickets before the final session began in the match. Nandre Burgre took three, while Kagiso Rabada picked one. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer were back in the hut.

Earlier in the match, Dean Elgar won the toss and elected to bat first. He is leading the hosts in his final Test as Temba Bavuma was ruled out. South Africa brought in Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi in the team, while India brought in Ravindra Jadeja and Mukesh Kumar. India will be looking to draw the two-match Test series, after losing the first game. They suffered an embarrassing loss by an innings and 32 runs at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
