Team India batter Virat Kohli was overjoyed with the historic win against South Africa on Thursday, January 4 at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town. He was seen doing a Bhangra pose after the game as the teams posed for a group picture with the trophy. India won the Cape Town test by seven wickets, drawing the two-match series.

Some photographs from the presentation ceremony have gone viral on social media featuring Virat Kohli. The veteran batter was in his element, enjoying himself. He did the Bhangra pose as both the teams got together for a group photograph with the trophy. He continued to have some fun, before settling down for the picture.

Virat Kohli played a crucial knock for Team India in the first innings of the Test. He scored 46 runs from 59 deliveries, with six boundaries and one six. India managed 153 runs in the innings, taking a valuable 98-run lead. They eventually won the match by seven wickets chasing down 79 runs. Kohli finished the series as India’s leading run-scorer with 172 runs in 2 matches at an average of 43.

India clinches first win in Cape Town

Team India’s seven-wicket win against South Africa in the second Test is their first-ever win at the Newlands in Cape Town. Bowling first, they bowled South Africa out for a paltry 55 as Mohammed Siraj took a six-wicket haul. In response, India took the first-innings lead of 98 runs.

Aiden Markram was the lone fighter for South Africa in the second innings, slamming a century on the tough pitch. He smashed 106 runs off 103 deliveries, with 17 boundaries and two sixes. Jasprit Bumrah took a six-wicket haul in the innings for India. The visitors eventually won the match, ending the two-match Test series in a draw. South Africa had won the first test by an innings and 32 runs at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
