Sachin Tendulkar Donates Undisclosed Amount To Help Daily-Wage Workers

Batting great Sachin Tendulkar has once again come out in support of the poor people amid the outbreak of pandemic coronavirus. The legendary cricketer has donated an undisclosed amount to financially help 4,000 underprivileged people, including children from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools.

Since it broke out in China, the COVID-19 has taken away more than 275000 lives. China, Spain, Italy, and the United States of America are the most affected places in the world. In India also there have been almost 60000 positive cases registered with the death toll touching crossing 1950. The last three days have witnessed a rapid spike in the number of cases with more than 3000 affected each in three consecutive days.

A complete lockdown has been prevailing in almost all parts of the world including India. The lockdown has forced many people to go unemployed and are struggling to afford their daily foods. With the situation getting difficult, Sachin Tendulkar has once again come forward to help the underprivileged families.

Tendulkar made the donation to the Hi5 Foundation, a non-profit organisation based out of Mumbai. He has provided an undisclosed amount to provide basic ration to the people in and around Mumbai including children. Sachin took to Twitter to thank the foundation for their noble gesture.

“Best wishes to team Hi5 for your efforts in supporting families of daily wage earners,” Sachin Tendulkar tweeted.

Previously, Sachin Tendulkar had donated Rs 50 lakh – 25 lakh for the state fund and 25 lakh for PM Cares Fund. The Master Blaster has also provided ration to 5,000 people for one month to help the poor and needy during this time of crisis apart from raising awareness among the citizens of the country.
