Sachin Tendulkar Reveals His Scoreline Prediction For ENG vs IND 2025 Test Series

Indian batting icon Sachin Tendulkar has forecasted a 3-1 victory for India in the upcoming five-Test series against England. The 52-year-old, who was part of India’s memorable 2007 series win in England, reflected on that 1-0 triumph under Rahul Dravid’s leadership, crediting it to a collective team effort.

Sachin Tendulkar expressed hope that the current Indian team could recreate a similar historic moment in 2025, one that would be remembered for years. Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, he said:

“I have settled for 3-1 to India. There were multiple good performances by individuals… Zaheer (Khan) played a role. I think everyone coming together and then chipping in at the right time makes a big difference. I still remember we were in the dressing room, celebrating at The Oval, the last Test.”

“These kinds of moments stay with you forever. We’re still talking about it 18 years down the line. I hope we’re able to do something this series too, so 20 years down the line we can still talk about it.”

Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy unveiled ahead of India’s new Test campaign in England

The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy was officially unveiled in London on Thursday, just a day before the first Test between England and India at Headingley. Named after legends James Anderson and Sachin Tendulkar, the new trophy replaces both the Pataudi and Anthony De Mello Trophies for all England-India Test series.

The 2025 series also marks a significant turning point for Indian Test cricket, with Shubman Gill stepping in as the new captain in whites. The 25-year-old will occupy the crucial No. 4 spot in the batting lineup, a role previously held by Virat Kohli. Gill has stated that his primary focus is on becoming the standout batter of the series rather than dwelling on his captaincy during matches.
