Cricket Australia gave punishments to Steve Smith and David Warner for 1 year while banning Cameron Bancroft for 9 months. Yesterday in the press conference, Cricket Australia CEO, James Sutherland decided to send Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft to home.
Cameron Bancroft was caught using a yellow tape during the third’s day play of 3rd test played at Cape Town. While Australian coach Darren Lehmann was given a clean chit in this matter. The incident was caught on the cameras as the on-field umpires Richard Illingworth, Nigel Long, along with third umpire Ian Gould and fourth umpire Allahudein Palekar charged Bancroft.
Smith was handed one test match ban. Captain Smith and Bancroft accepted the mistake after the press conference after the 3rd day’s play.
