India’s wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson turned 31 on Tuesday, November 11, and marked the special day with his wife, Charulatha Remesh. The Kerala cricketer was last seen representing India in the five-match T20I series against Australia, which India clinched 2-1, while two games were washed out due to rain.
Samson featured in the first two fixtures, managing only two runs in one innings, before being replaced by Jitesh Sharma for the remaining matches. To celebrate his birthday, Charulatha took to Instagram to share glimpses of their intimate celebration, including photos of the cake.
She also posted another story featuring Samson, along with a heartfelt caption.

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson is likely to return to action in India’s upcoming white-ball series against South Africa. The Men in Blue will kick off the campaign with a three-match ODI series starting November 30 in Ranchi, followed by a five-match T20I series set to begin on December 9 in Cuttack.

Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, with the retention deadline approaching on November 15, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are reportedly keen on acquiring Kerala batter Sanju Samson in what could turn out to be one of the most significant trades in the tournament’s history.
According to an ESPNcricinfo report dated November 9, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are likely to trade their captain, the 31-year-old Samson, to CSK in exchange for all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. If the deal materializes, it would be monumental, given Jadeja’s long-standing association and achievements with CSK.
The move could also see Jadeja return to the Royals — the franchise where he began his IPL career in 2008. Looking at Samson’s IPL record, the wicketkeeper-batter has featured in 177 matches, scoring 4,704 runs in 172 innings at an average of 30.94 and a strike rate of 139.04, including 26 fifties and three centuries.
