Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal narrated a funny incident from the 2016 Australia tour involving his skipper Sanju Samson. The leg spinner and the wicketkeeper are in fine form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season.
Yuzvendra Chahal has been a key performer for the Rajasthan Royals. He is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament so far. The leg-spinner shared a hilarious incident when Sanju Samson forgot to take the plastic off the frying pan, before using it.
In a video interview with the Espncricinfo, Yuzvendra Chahal narrated that Sanju forgot to take off the plastic, and started to fry an egg. The team came to know about the incident when the fire alarms went off, and everyone was confused as to what happened. Sanju had to pay a fine for his mistake. Chahal said:
“In 2016, we were in Australia, we were rooming together in an apartment. Sanju took a frying pan but forgot to take off the plastic cover. He put it on the electric stove and began to fry an egg. The fire alarm went off and everyone was wondering what has happened. The fire brigade came and everyone was wondering how the alarm had gone off. Then we realize Sanju had burned the plastic cover of the frying pan.”
“We were all laughing, even though we felt bad that he had to pay a fine. Even he was laughing, saying how did this happen? So that’s a moment I remember with him,” he added.
