India’ wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson is one of the most promising batsman coming up the ranks in Indian cricket. Right from the time he first played for India U19s in the 2014 U19 World Cup to now playing for India in the shortest format of the game, Samson has evolved from being that promising youngster to the player who could have a longlasting career as a wicket-keeper-batsman for the Indian side.

As of now, he represents Rajasthan Royals in the IPL and as very much earned a recall to India’s T20 side after a promising show in the recently concluded IPL. It is being said that India are looking at Samson as their middle-order batsman for the T20 World Cup in India next year.

Though Samson is a wicket keeper batsman, he’s been picked in the Indian side purely for his batting prowess. Samson’s attacking batting display with proper orthodox cricketing shots makes him a viable pick in the middle order.

Sanju Samson’s High Flying Boundary Save Against Australia

In the recent past, we’ve seen how agile Samson is without the gloves, fielding on the boundary ropes. During India’s tour of New Zealand in 2019, we witnessed some spectacular piece of fielding display. Similarly in the ongoing T20 series against Australia, we witnessed another sublime piece of fielding display as Sanju Samson dived towards the boundary ropes to save an apparent six during the 3rd T20 against Australia.

The commentators went gaga looking at Sanju Samson’s high flying save against Australia. Though this wasn’t the first time Sanju had done something like this as with the kind of fielder Sanju is we always get to witness such saves from him, whether in the IPL or International cricket.
