After a magical knock of 301* vs U.P that too coming at the middle order, Sarfaraz had already stamped his mark into domestic cricket. The hopes and expectations which people had pinned on him all these years, he seems to be finally living the dreams!

Mumbai team batting first at the picturesque Dharamshala have so far posted a total of 372/5 in 75 overs and a big chunk of that total is scored by Sarfaraz Khan. After a dismal opening start, it was once again Sarfaraz at no.5 along with skipper Tare infusing oxygen in Mumbai’s innings.

In the 1st innings, Sarafaraz intentionally played a somewhat cautious cricket while this innings displayed a lot of maturity as he went on to score a classy 226* off 213 balls laced with 32 fours and 4 sixes. Sarfaraz in an interview said “It’s good to be back scoring runs, Virat Kohli had criticized my fitness while I was dropped from RCB due to poor fitness, but now I am working hard to get back, my friends who used to earlier call me Panda now call me Macho”

With this Sarfaraz becomes only the 2nd first class cricketer after WV Raman to score a double ton followed by a triple hundred while he also becomes the only player to score two back to back unbeaten scores of 200+ for Mumbai in First Class Cricket.
