Indian skipper Virat Kohli is having a tough time right now as his team”s performance is letting them down this season. He is now in a situation to lead his team to victory in every match to get into the playoffs
Virat who never had a single double century in tests till June 2016, now has Six to his list. He scored against Windies, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh and couple of them again Srilanka within a span of 18 months. He is also the secondly-ranked batsman in the ICC Test rankings.
Meanwhile, Virat has said that scoring a triple century in test cricket is not a part of his goal list. In an exclusive interview to the Times of India, he mentioned “The only goal is to win games. That’s the goal of other persons, not me. ”
Virender Sehwag and Karun Nair are the only Indians till now to make triple centuries in the longest format of the game. While the former has two centuries to his name, the latter smashed England to every nook and corner of the stadium to score 303* at Chennai.
Virat now has 21 test centuries with the highest score of 243 against Srilanka at his home Delhi.
However, Kohli is not thinking of that record at present and he will be looking forward to playing the county championship for Surrey. This preparation helps him to come out all guns blazing against England at heir home turf.
