Virat Kohli has announced that he will step down as T20I captain after the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the UAE and Oman starting October 17. Ever since reports have come up that senior cricketers were miffed with Kohli and expressed reservations to ply under his leadership.

As per reports, it happened after India’s eight-wicket loss to New Zealand at in the final of the World Test Championship at the Rose Bowl back in June. Reportedly, two senior cricketers had raised the matter with Jay Shah, the Honorary Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), over the harsh treatment they received.

Incidentally, India succumbed to a heavy defeat against New Zealand in that title clash in the wake of a batting collapse.

If reports are to be believed true, Virat Kohli pulled up Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane inside the dressing room and the incident seemed to have given rise to the big problem.
