‘Separate India And Pakistan Or Cover Hospital Bills’: Fan’s Rant To ICC Goes Viral

India secured a dominant six-wicket victory over Pakistan in their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 encounter at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first in the fifth Group A match, setting a target of 241 runs.

Rohit Sharma’s side chased the target in 42.3 overs, with Virat Kohli securing the win and igniting celebrations. While Pakistan isn’t officially eliminated, their semi-final hopes are slim, relying on India and Bangladesh to beat New Zealand to stay in contention.

Meanwhile, a video of a frustrated Pakistani fan has gone viral, where he urges the ICC to place India and Pakistan in separate groups. He also suggests that a portion of the profits from these high-profile matches should be allocated to hospital expenses, humorously referring to the repeated losses as an “annual embarrassment.”

“Dear ICC, I have a request for you. Please place Pakistan and India in separate groups for ICC events. Watching this yearly humiliation has driven us insane,” Siddique said.

He added, “If your goal is to make money by keeping Pakistan and India in the same group since you apparently can’t generate profits from any other match, then at least give us a share of those earnings. That way, we can get ourselves treated at a good hospital because this annual embarrassment is becoming unbearable for us.”

India Leads Group A with Two Wins and a Strong Net Run Rate

India sits at the top of the Group A standings with four points, having secured victories in both of their matches while maintaining a strong net run rate of 0.647.

In contrast, Pakistan finds itself at the bottom of the table after back-to-back defeats. With zero points and a negative net run rate, their chances of advancing in the tournament are nearly extinguished.

New Zealand occupies the second position with two points, while Bangladesh sits in third. Over in Group B, South Africa leads the standings, followed by Australia in second place, England in third, and Afghanistan in fourth.
