‘Shame on you guys!’ – Internet Users Condemn Paparazzi After They Breach Vamika’s Privacy At Mumbai Airport

5 months ago, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby girl. Kohli took paternal leave from his cricket commitments to be with Anushka back in December. Although fans and netizens had a mixed bag of reactions to this, many athletes lauded his decision.

After the birth of his child, who was named Vamika, Virat along with Anushka had sincerely asked the media to stay away from their daughter. The Indian skipper simply stated that they wanted to protect privacy. And to do so, they needed the media’s support.

‘Respect the parents’ decision’

The Indian contingent was set to leave for England on June 2nd from the Mumbai Airport. Their assignments include the  ICC World Test Championship Final and a 5 match Test series against England. Virat and Anushka were spotted entering the airport.

The paparazzi managed to snag a few pictures. Following this, social media slammed the photographers and for breaching their privacy and breaking the trust imposed on them.

Here are some of the comments:

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma request privacy for their child

The power couple had requested the shutterbugs to respect the privacy of the newborn, days after Anushka gave birth to the child.

“Hi, thank you for all the love that you have given us for all these years. We are happy to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support,“ they wrote.

In a recent interaction with the fans on his Instagram handle, Virat Kohli revealed the meaning of Vamika – the name of their child.

“Vamika is another name for Goddess Durga. No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice,” Kohli wrote on Instagram.
