Sharjeel Khan, the tainted Pakistan opener has completed his 30-month ban on Saturday for his role in spot-fixing in the Pakistan Super League in the 2017 season.
However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made it pretty clear to the southpaw that he has to first accept the charges levied against him and confess his wrongdoing. He must also attend the rehabilitation process before resuming his international and domestic career.
The former southpaw was suspended from all forms of the game for five years in August 2017 for his role in the spot-fixing scandal. However, half of his ban was lifted.
However, like Mohammad Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, Sharjeel also needs to accept his charges to resume his cricketing duties in the domestic and international circuit.

Sharjeel Kha was plying his trade for the Islamabad United franchise when he was found guilty by the Anti Corruption Tribunal headed by Lt General (Retired) Tauqir Zia.
Meanwhile, a PCB official stated that Sharjeel Khan will be allowed to rejoin his cricketing services as soon as September in the Quaid-e-Aam Trophy. However for that to happen, he needs to admit his involvement in spot-fixing and then only he can restart his cricketing duties.
Sharjeel Khan’s lawyer Shaighan Ejaz stated that he has already written to PCB and stated that his client is ready to undergo the rehabilitation process. “Sharjeel wants to play cricket again and once we get an answer from the PCB, we will see where things stand,” he said.
Sources close to Sharjeel Khan claimed that Sharjeel has accepted the five charges which have laid down to him. However, he is not ready to accept the spot-fixing charges.
