Shikhar Dhawan officially confirmed his relationship with Sophie Shine via an Instagram post on Thursday (May 1), sharing a photo with her and referring to her as his “love.” This post put an end to speculation that had been building since the two began making public appearances together.
Sophie Shine is an Irish product consultant and currently holds the position of Second Vice President – Product Consultant at Northern Trust Corporation, as per her LinkedIn profile. The couple reportedly met in the UAE, where Sophie lives, and have been dating for several weeks.

Shikhar Dhawan was previously married to Aesha Mukherji, an Indian-Australian former kickboxer and entrepreneur. Their marriage ended in 2021, reportedly due to growing differences, including disagreements about relocating and property investments.
Two years later, Dhawan was granted a divorce citing cruelty, with the court acknowledging emotional distress. He later faced a tough custody battle and shared in February that he was blocked from contacting his son, Zoravar.
“It has been two years since I’ve seen my son, one year since I last spoke to him because I’m blocked from everywhere,” Dhawan said.
“It has been difficult, but you learn to live with it. I miss him and speak to him spiritually. And I feel through affirmations that I’m conversing with him every day, hugging him. I put my energy into it spiritually. It is the only way I can bring back my son. My sadness won’t help. I manifest,” the cricketer expressed.
“I already feel that I’m with him, speaking to him, playing with him. When I sit for my meditation, I visualize those things,” he added. “My son is 11 years old now, but I have seen him for only two and-a-half years of his life,” he added.
Dhawan stepped away from all forms of competitive cricket in August 2024 and has since taken up commentary roles and appearances in Legends League matches.
