South African pace bowler Kagiso Rabada recently tried his hands at Hindi as he is familiar with the language, courtesy of his stay in India during the Indian Premier League (IPL). Since he has played for both teams in the north, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, he has previously attempted to speak Hindi. However, little did he know that he would have to try that in Australia as well.

Rabada, who is currently with the South African team for the T20 World Cup in Australia, featured in Indian Radio Jockey RJ Karishma’s video ‘how not to impress desi girlfriend’s parents’ where the host gave him lines for mother-in-law and the father-in-law.

Kagiso Rabada stated ‘Namaste Suar Ji’, which means a pig instead of ‘Namaste Sasur Ji’. However, Karishma asked him to say it correctly and Rabada asked forgiveness as well as he made a mistake as well.

However, the video has gone viral on social media with several people reacting to it. Since Rabada has also shared it on his Instagram, his teammate in the IPL and India opener Shikhar Dhawan has reacted too to the same, and he couldn’t stop laughing as well.

However, Kagiso Rabada will hope that his performance brings wins to South Africa as well in the upcoming showpiece event in Australia. It is also noteworthy that the South Africa team didn’t have a great build-up for the World Cup as they lost both T20I and ODI series to India recently. India won both the T20I and ODI series 2-1 as well.

Moreover, losing their key player Dwaine Pretorius was also a massive blow for the Temba Bavuma-led side as the all-rounder provides the balance to their line-up as well, but his absence could mean that they will have to sacrifice one batter.

South Africa will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on October 24 in Hobart against the winners of Group B.
