Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan’s bonding both on and off the field has been evident during their stints with the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Team India. With their shared experiences, they consistently motivate and support each other.
This bonding was showcased in a video shared by MI on their Instagram account during a practice session. Ishan Kishan executed a reverse sweep for a six over the third man followed by his trademark pull shot over cow corner on the next delivery, with Yadav cheering him on.
Suryakumar Yadav was amazed by Ishan’s excellent timing and exclaimed:
“Shot yaar!”

After taking a short break from playing cricket, Ishan Kishan has been playing well in IPL 2024. While he hasn’t scored big runs yet, he has given his team quick starts in a couple of matches, like in his last game against the Delhi Capitals, where he scored 42 runs off 23 balls.
Suryakumar Yadav is expected to make a significant contribution with the bat soon
Suryakumar Yadav’s return to competitive cricket didn’t go as planned, as he was dismissed for a two-ball duck against the Capitals. However, there’s no doubt about the quality of the No.1 ranked T20I batter, and he’s likely to bounce back sooner or later.
MI will be hoping for a stellar performance from SKY in their upcoming match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday, April 11. He has fond memories against this particular franchise, especially from their clash at the Wankhede Stadium last year.
Suryakumar played a scintillating innings, scoring 83 runs off just 35 balls, helping MI secure a convincing six-wicket victory over RCB. He was also awarded the Player of the Match in Mumbai’s last two IPL victories against RCB.
The hosts will be optimistic about SKY making a significant contribution and aiding the five-time champions in securing consecutive wins in IPL 2024.
