Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav had a tough outing on the field against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 match at Wankhede Stadium on April 7.

Despite their struggles, they found delight in Romario Shepherd’s explosive performance, where he scored an unbeaten 39 runs off 10 balls, including four sixes and three boundaries. Shepherd particularly shone in the final over, smashing 32 runs off Anrich Nortje’s bowling.

In an IPL video clip, Suryakumar and Hardik were observed applauding each other as they relished Shepherd’s onslaught in the final over, particularly when he sent a massive six soaring into the stands.

In an IPL video, Suryakumar and Hardik were seen giving each other applause as they enjoyed Shepherd’s powerful display in the final over, especially when he hit a huge six into the stands.

MI set a target of 235 runs for DC in the IPL 2024 match

Mumbai Indians batted excellently, scoring 234/5 against Delhi Capitals in their 20 overs. Rohit Sharma was outstanding, scoring 49 runs from 27 balls, including three sixes and six boundaries.

He also had a strong partnership with Ishan Kishan, who scored 42 runs from 23 balls with two sixes and four boundaries. Tim David also played well, staying unbeaten on 45 runs from 21 balls, hitting four sixes and three boundaries.

Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje took two wickets each for DC, while Khaleel Ahmed picked up one. Mumbai Indians will aim for their first win of the 2024 season after losing consecutively to Gujarat Titans (GT), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Meanwhile, DC aims to bounce back after suffering a 106-run loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their previous IPL match. Their largest successful chase occurred during the 2017 season when they chased down 214 runs against the now-defunct Gujarat Lions.
