Team India is likely to make a forced change in their playing XI for the 3rd and final T20I against Sri Lanka on July 29 (Thursday) at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Fast bowler Navdeep Saini, who suffered an injury blow while fielding is likely to miss out in the final game of the series.
With the series in line, Team India will look to bounce off the blocks and win the series after losing the 2nd T20I by four wickets. With nine cricketers ruled out due to COVID-19 restrictions, India are left with very limited options to choose from.

The top-order is likely to remain intact with Ruturaj Gaikwad partnering skipper Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan, who had the responsibility to propel the team to a big score, did bat till the 13th over but consumed 42 deliveries for his 40 runs. His below-part strike can have an impact as far as a place in the playing XI at T20 World Cup is concerned.
They will be followed by young batting prodigy Devdutt Padikkal at No.3. It will be a great opportunity for the southpaw to showcase his talent at the biggest stage.
Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, and all-rounder Bhuvneshwar Kumar will form the middle-order. Although it a small batting-order but everyone has the capability to light up the stage on any given day.

The young left-arm spinner from Tamil Nadu is likely to make his debut in place of injured Navdeep Saini while Varun Chakravarthy, Rahul Chahar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Chetan Sakariya are likely to retain their place in the playing XI.
