Smriti Mandhana takes up the ‘Juggle like a Champ’ to extend her support for FIFA U-17 World Cup

The FIFA u-17 World Cup is the biggest footballing event that is scheduled to take place in India later this year. All the fans across the country are gearing up for this historic event which will see the future stars gracing the football pitch. This is the first India will host a football World Cup and the excitement among the fans are on an upsurge as the tournament comes closer.

As the host of this event, India gets a direct entry to play in the tournament with the world’s best.  The event is scheduled to begin from October 6.

In order to gather the support for the Indian team that will take part in the tournament, a challenge has been launched on the social media naming it as “JuggleLikeAChamp” challenge to create awareness among the people of the country. Many football fans have already taken up the challenge and now the eminent personalities are coming forward to support the cause.

The challenge was first initiated by Badminton super girl PV Sindhu who then nominated actor Sonu Sood for the same.

Sonu Sood then nominated Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan for the same who is yet to take the challenge.

Meanwhile, Indian star batter Smriti Mandhana was nominated by the Hyderabadi shuttler Kidambi Srikanth. Smriti Mandhana in a video posted on her official Twitter account was seen juggling a football and she further nominated her team India teammate Harmanpreet Kaur to take up this challenge and put forward her support towards the Indian team

She wrote, “ Here is my #JuggleLikeAChamp Challenge @srikidambi, I further nominate @ImHarmanpreet to show support to our Indian Team for #FIFAU17WC.”

India has been placed with USA, Ghana, and Columbia in Group A. The FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 is scheduled to take place in Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai and New Delhi. The final will be played at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on October 28.
