Virat Kohli, the standout batsman of Team India, recently had a meal at Cafe A LA Mer in Barbados along with his wife, Anushka Sharma, while they were on India’s West Indies tour. The renowned cricketer was highly pleased with the food offered at the cafe and took to social media to express his admiration for the restaurant.

On Friday, August 18, Virat Kohli utilized his official Instagram account to post an image of himself and Anushka standing outside the cafe. He recommended the place as a must-see and remarked about the incredible food they were served. The ex-captain of India posted a message on Instagram:

“Must visit in Barbados @cafealamer18 some of the best food we ever ate 🤌.”

Significantly, Virat Kohli was included in India’s Test and ODI teams for the recently finished West Indies tour. The right-handed batsman accumulated a total of 197 runs across two Test innings, impressively scoring 121 runs in the second match.

In the opening match of the ODI series, he didn’t have a chance to bat due to the Indian team rearranging their batting order to provide younger players with an opportunity. The experienced player was given rest for the final two matches.

Virat Kohli marks his 15th anniversary in international cricket

On Friday, August 18, Virat Kohli commemorated his 15th year since his international debut. He initiated his international career on the same date in 2008, facing Sri Lanka and scoring 11 runs from 22 balls. Presently 34 years old, he holds the record as the highest run-scorer among active cricketers, amassing a total of 25,582 runs in 559 innings across various formats.

With 76 international centuries to his credit, he stands second in this regard, trailing only Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries. The accomplished batsman’s upcoming appearance is set for the Asia Cup 2023. This continental ODI tournament will take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, following a hybrid model.

India’s entry into the Asia Cup will be marked by a highly anticipated match against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on September 2.
