All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been trending on social media since yesterday. He left the fans stunned after he deleted his Instagram posts from the Indian Premier League 2021 and 2022 campaigns with the Chennai Super Kings. There were reports earlier about a rift between Ravindra Jadeja and the Chennai Super Kings franchise during the Indian Premier League 2022 season.

Ravindra Jadeja was handed over the captaincy baton of the Chennai Super Kings by MS Dhoni before the start of the IPL 2022 season. However, after their disastrous start in the tournament, the all-rounder stepped down from the post. MS Dhoni once again took over the captaincy responsibility.

Later, Jadeja’s outing in the IPL 2022 season was cut short as he was ruled out due to an injury. This incident sparked reports about the rift in the Chennai Super Kings team but the franchise refuted the claims. However, Ravindra Jadeja’s recent act has again fueled up the speculations.

In the Indian Premier League 2022 season, Ravindra Jadeja scored 116 runs at an average of 19.33 at a strike rate of 118.36. The all-rounder also did not fare well with the ball as he only managed to take five wickets in ten matches. The Chennai Super Kings finished the tournament in the bottom two.

Meanwhile, let’s take a look at how fans reacted to Ravindra Jadeja deleting his Instagram post:

What happened, happened: Ravindra Jadeja on his 2022 IPL stint

Ravindra Jadeja slammed a brilliant century against England in the fifth Test match at the Edgbaston in Birmingham recently. He scored 104 runs off 194 deliveries including thirteen boundaries in the first innings. Post his knock, the all-rounder was asked about his time in the Indian Premier League 2022 season with the Chennai Super Kings.

Ravindra Jadeja refrained from revealing much, as he expressed that what happened is the past. He added that during the Test match, IPL wasn’t on his mind. Jadeja said,

“What happened, happened. IPL was not on my mind. Whenever you are playing for India, your entire focus needs to be on the Indian team. It was the same for me.”
