Former England captain and ace cricket commentator Nasser Hussain, who represented England in over 150 matches have had some close clashes with the Indian team during his career.

Nasser is of the opinion that the current BCCI president and former India captain Sourav Ganguly is the man responsible for revolutionising cricket in India. He believes that the BCCI president is someone who has contributed a lot in making India a cricketing powerhouse.

During the live chat of Sony Pit Shop Nasser Hussain said, “Sourav made the Indian team a feisty side. He made the side tough and when he was captaining the side you knew you were in a big battle with them. I have huge respect for him as a captain as he started the revolution in Indian cricket.

The former England captain also compared Ganguly with current Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Nasser Hussain hailed Kohli for his competitive and never-give-up attitude.

“Virat Kohli is a hugely combative cricketer. When he is out on the field, he wants to win and is desperate for victory,” he added.

He was also fulsome towards England’s limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan who is said to have brought the change in cricket for England. Morgan build a team after the 2015 World Cup debacle and took them to glory last year at the Lord’s stadium.

“He has done such a fine job leading the England white-ball side. the best aspect of the side is that they look to express themselves well. Another important aspect of the side is their selection they have gone with good white-ball players like Jos Buttler, Johhny Bairstow & Jason Roy,” Nasser Hussain said.

Nasser Hussain retired from the game in 2004 and has ever since been part of the Sky Sports commentary team on a full-time basis. Previously in 2011, Nasser was involved in a controversy during India’s tour of England. He labelled the Indian fielders as donkeys while commentating during a live match between India and England. Apparently the Donkey jibe cost Nasser a commentary stint during the India tour.
