South Africa has announced the ODI and T20I squad for the upcoming home series against Pakistan. The ODI series between Pakistan and South Africa will be played between April 2-16. Temba Bavuma the new South Africa white-ball skipper will be leading the home side in both the ODI and T20I series. The ODI squad will have 22 players on the other hand, 17 players have been listed out for the T20I squad.

Earlier this year the two sides played a T20I and Test series in Pakistan. The hosts Pakistan won both the series and comprehensively defeated South Africa in their own conditions. Now things will not be easy for Pakistan as they will be up against a strong South Africa side away from home.

Also, as per the terms of the agreement between CSA and BCCI, the Proteas players included in the IPL would be released early from the same series. All the South African players part of the IPL will be available for the new season that kicks off on April 9.
