Left-arm pacer T Natarajan has joined the squad for the remaining T20Is against England in Ahmedabad. He missed the first three games and now has joined the team hours before the start of the fourth game. However, he was not included in the Indian playing XI for the fourth game. India have been asked to bat yet again by England skipper Eoin Morgan after winning the toss. Batting first so far has been India’s problem and this is another chance for India to address the same. 

Meanwhile, Natarajan was at the National Cricket Academy after returning from Australia. He was recovering from a shoulder niggle and now is fully fit again, This should com as good news for Virat Kohli as he can now have Natarajan playing the final game of the series.

T Natarajan Joins Team India

The left-arm pacer posted an Instagram story of with Washington Sundar, saying “Great to be back with Indian team.” The bowler posted the photo hours before the 4th T20I, which is a must for India, with the series locked at 2-1. Natarajan is the only left-arm pacer included in the Indian squad for the T20I series. 

T Natarajan joins the Indian team in Ahmedabad. 

He played a crucial role for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020 picking up 16 wickets in the season. His exploits earned him an India debut in all formats against Australia in the recently concluded series.

Natarajan spoke about playing in all three formats consistently for India after India won the Test series in Australia and he played a crucial role. 

“I am looking to play in all formats and will maintain my workload accordingly. I am keen to work on my strength and endurance levels in the coming months. This is the first time I’ve played for six long months at a stretch in my life. Because I trained continuously during those months of lockdown, I was able to take care of the workload in IPL and in Australia”, Natarajan told Times Of India.
