In a very funny incident, Delhi Capitals (DC) all rounder Rovman Powell revealed how he had no clothes when he came for IPL this year. Incidentally, this is Powell’s debut season in the high-profile T20 league.

Rovman Powell became one of the victims of the mistake by the airport authorities as his luggage didn’t reach with him in Mumbai on his flight. Due to this very reason he had to roam around his hotel room in just his towel for a couple of days.

“When I landed in Mumbai, I was told that the airline doesn’t have any of my bags. The only thing I had with me was my hand baggage when I left the airport. I didn’t have any extra clothes with me so I spent 2-3 days in a towel in my hotel room,” Powell said on the Delhi Capitals podcast.

Rovman Powell has become a fan favourite and has been winning their hearts through his performances. He has been scoring runs and is a gun fielder. Overall, he has amassed 205 runs in 11 matches, including one half-century and a strike rate of over 160.

Delhi Capitals to lock horns with Rajasthan Royals in a must-win game

Rishabh Pant and Co. haven’t quite been as good as they were over the last few campaigns. The Capitals have had a start-stop campaign and have had an impact on their performances with all the COVID-19 cases inside the camp.

The scenario for Delhi Capital’s qualification hopes is that they have to win all of their last three games and depend on the other teams’ results. Meanwhile, they will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday at the DY Patil Sports Academy to keep their hopes alive in the competition.
