England pacer Stuart Broad is not having a good Test match at Trent Bridge. He hasn’t found his line length in the match and has struggled for wickets. Broad hasn’t been the same bowler since his injury last year. The veteran was also dropped from the England Test team for the West Indies tour.

Meanwhile, the cricketer is not having a good time off the field as well. Stuart Broad owns a pub in Nottinghamshire which has caught fire. The pub faced heavy damage due to fire. The fire department was immediately called to the pub.‘Tap and Run’ pub is located in Upper Broughton, near Melton Mowbray.

Stuart Broad expressed his sadness on this incident on Twitter. “I couldn’t believe the news this morning. Not sure I still can. Our wonderful Pub @tapandruncw caught fire in the early hours. Thankfully no one was hurt, the Nottinghamshire Fire Service were incredible in their efforts & thank you to the villagers for the wonderful support,” Broad wrote. 

He further apologised for this incident and thanked his staff. “Sorry for the disruption. Thinking of our awesome staff today, every single person there has created a special pub for the community. It hurts right now but we will come out the other side,” Broad added.

 

“We are sorry that we can’t take further bookings” – Pub issues official statement

The website of Pub also put a statement regarding this fire accident. The statement said, “We are devastated to announce that due to a significant fire in the early hours of 11 June the Tap & Run will not be trading for the foreseeable future.”

“We are so sorry that we cannot honour our bookings or take any further bookings. We will keep everyone fully up to date on social media over the next few weeks. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of support. And finally, we will be back! Watch this space,” the statement read.
