India and Australia, over the years, have produced some of the nail-biting encounters. There used to be that extra spark when the Indian cricketers were up against the best team of their generation. Meanwhile, veteran batsman Suresh Raina has revealed the name of one cricketer whom the Aussies feared the most.

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, Irfan Pathan hosted Suresh Raina in an Instagram live session on Saturday evening. The duo talked about cricket, IPL and various other aspects. Meanwhile, a discussion is incomplete with India-Australia rivalry and as usual, it came up during the candid chat of Pathan and Raina.

Raina revealed the veteran off-spinner, Harbhajan Singh, as the cricketer who had the most impact against Australia. Notably, Harbhajan made a name for himself during the historic 2001 historic Test at the Eden Gardens scalping a hat-trick to end Australia’s winning run in the longer formats of the game.

“He’s (Harbhajan) a fighter, won us matches in Australia. Australians always used to say stay away from Harbhajan Singh,” Raina said.

“They used to hold their ears upon hearing Harbhajan Singh’s name,” quipped Irfan.

Furthermore, Irfan Pathan also heaped praise on the veteran off-spinner from Punjab. The former India all-rounder, who recently expressed his desire to come out of international retirement, expressed that Harbhajan Singh is a legend of the game with more than 100 Test matches to his name.

“Bhajju paa was one of the legends of the game, name me a better offspinner than him in world cricket, communication should’ve been better with him too. He’s a legend, played 100 Test matches,” said Irfan.
