Suryakumar Yadav once again showed his class with the bat as he hit 21 runs in one over bowled by Arjun Tendulkar. The youngster was smashed all over the park by Suryakumar Yadav in a practice match ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Suryakumar was leading Team B which played against Team D led by Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Much like he did in IPL 2020, Suryakumar came out to bat at number 3 and continued his prolific form. Left arm-seamer Arjun Tendulkar failed to make an impact against Suryakumar as he scored 21 runs against him in a single over. The elegant right-handed batsman scored 120 runs off merely 47 balls.

Suryakumar scored runs at a strike rate of 255 and his knock included 10 boundaries and 9 huge sixes after which he was retired hurt. During the death overs, Arjun Tendulkar was given a hard task of bowling at Suryakumar Yadav who was in a destructive mood.
The 29-year-old taught the young Tendulkar a lesson and scored runs all around the ground. On the back Suryakumar’s brilliant ton his team posted a gigantic total of 213 runs after the end of 20 overs. Apart from that one bad over, Arjun Tendulkar bowled well and ended the match with figures of 1/33 in his four overs.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar once again confirmed that he is an ideal T20 batsman who can bat according to the situation of the match. He was sensational in the recently concluded IPL 2020 and played a significant role in helping Mumbai Indians lift their 5th title.
Unfortunately, Suryakumar didn’t receive his maiden India call-up for the T20I series against Australia. Nonetheless, it seems that the selectors will certainly give him a few opportunities before the next T20I world cup next year in India.
