Suryakumar Yadav has extended his lead over Mohammad Rizwan in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings announced by ICC on 23 November 2022.

The explosive right-handed batter became the 2^nd Indian to achieve the highest rating point in the T20I format. Surya Kumar scored a breathtaking unbeaten 111 off 51 balls in the 2^nd T20I match against hosts New Zealand played at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui on 20^th November 2022. After that match, he reached 895 points.

Surya Kumar Yadav was dismissed for 13 runs in the 3^rd T20I match at McLean Park, Napier on 22^nd November 2022. He dropped to 890 points despite a five-point fall. He enjoys a 54-point lead over Mohammed Rizwan currently at the number 2 spot.

He made a great mark in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022 played in Australia. Surya Kumar Yadav smashed 239 runs from 6 matches and was the third leading run-getter during the prestigious tournament. Since his T20I debut for India in 2021, Surya Kumar Yadav has shown tremendous skills and produced some excellent cricket.

Suryakumar Yadav has been in sensational form with the bat scoring runs with ease against tough opponents. During the recently concluded T20I series against New Zealand, Surya was named the player of the series award for his 124 runs from 3 matches. His performances in recent times have been remarkable playing some brilliant knocks and taking India out of tough situations.

Known as SKY, he cannot go past Virat Kohli’s 897 points. India has no more T20Is left to play in 2022. Surya Kumar Yadav ended 2022 with staggering 1164 runs from 31 innings ( 31 matches) with a strike rate of 187.43. During this calendar year, he hit 9 half-centuries and 2 half-centuries.
