India’s very own Mr 360 and the world’s No.1 T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav has been a cause for headaches for opponents, especially after the knock against Zimbabwe because of the outrageous shots he played to the different parts of the ground. Ahead of the semi-final clash against England, India will hope for him to continue his purple patch so that they can secure a spot in the final to contest for the trophy.

He is the third-highest run-scorer in this tournament, scoring 225 runs which include three half-centuries also he has become the second batter and first Indian to score in excess of 1000 international runs in a calendar year in this format.

While discussing the weaknesses of Suryakumar Yadav, Nasser Hussain reveals how he was surprised by the fact that the batter had 15 strengths and almost no weaknesses. Hussain in an interview with Sky Sports said:

“It was funny. I sent the CricViz guys a request. They were doing some prep for the game. I said ‘Come on, send me the strengths and weaknesses of Suryakumar Yadav. And on the WhatsApp group, I got some 15 strengths – plays pace bowling well, spin well, hits through the square, scoops it more than any cricketer in the history of the game.”

I can’t see them calling him up – Nasser Hussain on weakness of Suryakumar Yadav

“Maybe, someone like a Mahela Jayawardene is the only one who has scored more runs behind square than him. His strike-rate all around. And then I said, ‘Ok, weaknesses? And the WhatsApp just dried up. The only one they had was slow left-arm spin. And England don’t have one. Dawson is in the reserve and I can’t see them calling him up. He was hobbling,” Nasser Hussain added.

Micheal Hussey has already said that he hopes Suryakumar Yadav to have a quiet outing against them. As well as Moeen Ali has said how he dispatched balls across the boundary line when scoring his hundred against England earlier this year at Trent Bridge.

Pakistan has already secured their spot at the Melbourne Cricket Ground after defeating the runners-up of the previous edition, New Zealand. Now they will just wait to see whether they will play arch-rivals, India or the three lions, England in the finals.
