Team India will lock horns with New Zealand in the second and final warm-up game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at the Gabba in Brisbane on Wednesday, October 19. The Men in Blue registered a thrilling six-run win in their last warm-up game against Australia and will hope to keep the momentum going before the Super 12 stage begins on October 22.
Rohit Sharma and Co. will look to test certain areas before they play their first game of the tournament. The Indian think tank will also want Mohammed Shami to bowl a few more overs to get into match fitness after his heroic return to the T20I side. Virat Kohli and Rohit will also look to put some runs under their belt before their game against arch-rivals Pakistan.
New Zealand, on the other hand, will be a little low on confidence. The Black Caps recently lost to Babar Azam’s Pakistan by seven wickets in the final of the T20I tri-series at home. South Africa also beat them by nine wickets in a warm-up match. They will hope to fire in unison and bounce back before their first game against defending champions Australia.
