The International Cricket Council (ICC) is gearing up to release additional tickets for the upcoming T20 World Cup, expanding the availability to at least 13 matches of the prestigious tournament. Scheduled to kick off in the United States of America (USA) and the West Indies on June 1 and concluding on June 29, this development offers fans a broader opportunity to secure their spots at the event.
For those interested in purchasing tickets, they can visit the official website of the T20 World Cup. The tickets will go on sale on March 19 at 8:30 PM (IST) for Indian fans. Out of the 55 matches in total, tickets for at least 51 fixtures will be accessible through the ICC.
Ticket prices vary depending on the region, with rates starting at USD 6 in the Caribbean and USD 35 in the United States. Additionally, the ICC extends its services to the hospitality sector, providing cricket enthusiasts with enticing packages that include food, beverages, and accommodation in private suites.
ICC Head of Event, Chris Tetley said: “We are delighted to have worked with our commercial partners to be able to release these additional tickets to 51 matches to ensure that we are accommodating as many fans as possible at every ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 fixture.”
Notably, the demand for tickets is high, with over three million applications received through the ticket ballot for the upcoming T20 World Cup. This surge in interest underscores the global appeal and excitement surrounding the tournament, further emphasizing its significance in the world of cricket.
