Reflecting on their previous T20 World Cup performance in Australia, India aims to improve significantly after being knocked out in the semi-finals by England, who then won the tournament by defeating Pakistan in the final. “They are the team to beat” – Eoin Morgan names India as the top contender in T20 World Cup
Former England captain Eoin Morgan has identified Rohit Sharma’s team as the strongest contender in the T20 World Cup, declaring them his preferred team to win.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Morgan stated: “For me, the strongest side even with injuries throughout the tournament is India without a doubt. The strength and depth is absolutely incredible at the moment. We are talking about the players who missed out in the squad of 15 because of the quality they possess. They are favorites for me. The quality that they have on paper if they produce it I think they can beat anybody quite in the tournament.”
