Harmanpreet Kaur strikes back at a journalist during a news conference:

Reporters questioned Harmanpreet Kaur during the pre-tournament news conference. When India was on a recent visit to Bangladesh, a reporter wanted to know why she thought fewer journalists were present at press briefings. In response, Kaur said that it was the media’s job to cover the team, not hers.

“There have been concerns about the importance of women’s cricket, especially after the Bangladesh tour. Less journalists are appearing in press conferences, so what is your opinion on this?” One of the journalists asked her.

Harmanpreet was taken by surprise, but instead of losing her cool, she gave a befitting reply with a smile on her face. “Well, that is none of my business. You guys have to come and cover us,” Harmanpreet Kaur said.

India will play Pakistan, the team of Nida Dar, in the Asia Cup opener. India is both the most successful team in the tournament’s history and the reigning winner. In the 14 T20 internationals between India and Pakistan, India has won 11 of the encounters. India has won the Women’s Asia Cup T20, winning 17 of the 20 matches played.
