During a recent match in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunrisers Hyderabad showed once again how strong they are. They faced Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Lucknow batted first and scored 165 runs. But Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down this score very easily.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, the opening batsmen for Sunrisers Hyderabad, played exceptionally well. They didn’t lose any wickets and managed to reach the target in just 9.4 overs. This quick victory was quite impressive.

After the match, Pat Cummins, a player from another team, made a clever comment. He joked that maybe Travis and Abhishek Sharma changed the pitch because they played so well. This remark shows that Cummins was impressed by their performance and wanted to acknowledge it in a light-hearted way. While Lucknow Super Giants were batting, the pitch appeared slow. However, when Sunrisers Hyderabad batted, the pitch seemed to have changed drastically.

Pat Cummins Teases About Pitch Alteration; Praises Travis and Abhishek’s Positivity

Following the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins was playfully questioned about altering the pitch during the game.

“Maybe Travis and Abhishek did. We just let them go. They are two guys who are very positive and I’m a bowler, it is tough for me to give them any inputs,” Cummins was quoted as saying by IndiaToday. “He’s been like this for 2 years, he hits the tough areas, hits the middle a lot, might not be super conventional.”

Cummins praised the team’s outstanding season. He mentioned the noticeable increase in par-scores in T20 cricket, making it challenging to contain batsmen. He also commended his team’s capability to successfully complete run chases within the initial 10 overs of matches.

“I think the scores have gone up, and when the wickets are good, it is tough to come up with answers against batters when they get going. The boys have had a fantastic season, but to win this with less than 10 overs played is unreal,” Cummins said.
