Former India batter Aakash Chopra has added that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) don’t have any worries heading into their IPL 2026 match against the Delhi Capitals (DC). However, he shared that KL Rahul might trouble RCB at his home ground.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, ‘Aakash Chopra,’ he said, “KL Rahul is one guy you need to be wary of, although RCB don’t make any game plans against anyone nowadays because they beat everyone. They are a team that is absolutely rockstar. There isn’t a thing you could call a worry. There is no worry. They are only in a hurry to finish the match quickly.”
“KL Rahul is one guy who has an average of 70 against this team. So the home boy, he is from Bengaluru only, might trouble you, but that’s the only thing. The opposing team needs to make plans,” he further added. “What can Delhi do? T Natarajan with the new ball, maybe for Virat Kohli, left-arm pace. Can you think about using bouncers for Phil Salt at the start? Axar Patel can come in the Powerplay. Kuldeep Yadav can come immediately as soon as Rajat Patidar comes to bat. I think these are a few things that you can do.”

Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra also urged the Delhi Capitals to include Vipraj Nigam in their playing combination against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, claiming that they would need batting till No. 8 as well.
“I feel you should play Vipraj Nigam and make a fast bowler sit out because batting will be required till No. 8. Even if you have intentions of beating RCB, I am not saying whether you are capable of beating them or not, you need batting till No. 8. If your batting finishes at No. 7, which was the case in the previous match against CSK, it’s flawed,” he said.
“Batting shouldn’t end at No. 7 with the Impact Player rule. Delhi, you didn’t get it right last time. Please get that right this time. I feel you will have to play Vipraj Nigam again. It’s a day game, so leg-spin might have a role,” Aakash Chopra concluded.
