Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah recently relaxed with a cup of coffee, calling it his most important meal of the day. Bumrah has been absent from action since the final Test of India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia, where he picked up a back injury and was unable to bowl in the fourth innings.
He has also been ruled out of the 2025 Champions Trophy due to the same injury. As he prepares for his much-anticipated return, Bumrah posted a picture on Instagram of himself enjoying a coffee, with the caption:
“Coffee: the most important meal of the day.”

Jasprit Bumrah was the standout performer with his exceptional bowling in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Despite Australia winning the five-match series 3-1, Bumrah was named Player of the Series for taking 32 wickets in nine innings, with an impressive average of 13.06.
Harbhajan Singh Urges Team India to Adapt Without Bumrah for 2025 Champions Trophy
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh is confident that Team India has ample bowling strength for the 2025 Champions Trophy, even in Jasprit Bumrah’s absence. Bumrah was originally included in India’s 15-member preliminary squad for the tournament but was later replaced by pacer Harshit Rana.
Harbhajan emphasized that if India hopes to win the 2025 Champions Trophy, Rohit Sharma and the team will need to adapt to playing without Bumrah. He shared his thoughts in a YouTube video (as quoted by TribuneIndia):
“I still believe India is the favorite in the Champions Trophy. Bumrah is a big force, who can win matches. Even without Bumrah, there are a lot of experienced players like Arshdeep, Shami, Kuldeep and Jadeja. India is the favorite, but they have to play like the favorites. I think if you want to win the tournament, you should learn to play without Bumrah.”
