Here are the top five fastest centuries against India in T20Is:

#1 Glenn Maxwell scored a fifty in Bengaluru in 2019 in 50 balls

As a member of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) now, Glenn Maxwell played an excellent innings in front of a full M Chinnaswamy Stadium in February 2019. The Australian all-rounder scored a century in 50 balls, leading to a seven-wicket victory over India.

Australia, in pursuit of 191 for victory, faced early dismissals of both Marcus Stoinis and Aaron Finch. Although D’arcy Short stayed for a while, Glenn Maxwell aggressively dominated the bowlers.

Maxwell defied Indian plans, capitalized on good batting conditions, and guided Australia to victory with an unbeaten 113 off 55 balls in the last over.

#2 Evin Lewis scored a fifty in Florida in 2016 in 48 balls

The West Indies and India engaged in a thrilling T20I contest in Florida in 2016. It turned out to be a high-scoring match, and the Caribbean team secured victory by a narrow margin of just one run.

Choosing to bat first, West Indies’ openers, Johnson Charles and Evin Lewis, launched an aggressive assault on the Indian bowling attack. Lewis, scoring a quick fifty in 25 balls, made a powerful statement by hitting five consecutive sixes off Stuart Binny in the 11th over.

Lewis reached a century in 48 balls, with a single off Jadeja, in a 49-ball innings featuring five fours and nine sixes. His partnership with Andre Russell added 78 runs in 36 balls. West Indies posted 245/6 in 20 overs, winning the match by just one run.

#3 Rilee Rossouw scored a fifty in Indore in 2022 in 48 balls

Leading up to the T20 World Cup 2022, India faced South Africa in a three-match T20I series. Although India secured a 2-1 victory, they conceded two impressive centuries, both highlighted in this list.

Firstly, Rilee Rossouw’s remarkable unbeaten century came off 48 balls at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. On a flat pitch, South Africa posted the second-highest T20I team total against India, reaching 227 in the first innings.

The most recent addition to the list, Josh Inglis, recorded the second-fastest century against India in all T20 internationals. He achieved this feat by scoring 110 runs off 50 balls in the recently concluded first T20I in Vishakhapatnam.

Despite his team ending up on the losing side, Inglis received widespread acclaim for his outstanding batting performance, presenting a significant challenge for the Indian bowlers throughout the series.

Recent ODI World Cup winner Josh Inglis, coming in after Matthew Short’s dismissal, played aggressively, forming a crucial 130-run partnership with Steve Smith (52).

Inglis, with his maiden century featuring 11 boundaries and eight sixes, achieved a phenomenal strike rate of 220, single-handedly guiding Australia to a total of 208/3 in the first inning.

David Miller currently holds the record for the fastest T20I century against India. The dynamic left-hander achieved this feat with a 46-ball ton during his second T20I encounter with India in Guwahati in 2022.

Despite Miller’s exceptional batting performance, South Africa faced a 16-run defeat. In pursuit of a challenging target of 238, the Proteas lost three wickets with only 47 runs on the board.

In an unbeaten 174-run partnership, Miller played the aggressor as South Africa needed 37 runs off the last six balls.
