Team India openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill’s partnership powered them to a comfortable win against West Indies in the fourth T20I at Lauderhill in Florida. The pair is being compared to the seasoned duo of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal downplayed the comparisons, adding that the veteran cricketers are legends of the game.

His opening stand with Shubman Gill notched up 165 runs with the right-hander scoring a 42-ball 77. India won the match by nine wickets, with Jaiswal winning the Player of the Match award. Speaking to reporters after the match, Yashasvi Jaiswal spoke about the comparisons of his partnership with Shubman Gill to Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. He said,

“What they (Rohit and Shikhar) have done is amazing. They are legends of the game. I just think that we just need to go and try doing what we can do. We have a long way to go.”
