This England star player is ruled out of ODIs against Scotland & Australia

England has been dealt a major blow as their star all-rounder has been ruled out of the ODI match against Scotland to be played on 10th June at Edinburgh and also the first part of ODI series against Australia.

Ahead of the second test match against Pakistan at Headingley, Stokes picked up an injury on May 30th during fielding session and could not attend the session. He was ruled out of the 2nd test and Sam Curran was given the test debut.

Ben Stokes will return to his county side Durham on Monday. England will go into the 5 matches ODI side as the number 1 ODI side after displacing India from the top position. The next four matches will be played at Cardiff, Trent Bridge, Chester-le- Street and Old Trafford.

It promises to be a cracking series with England looking to play attacking cricket while Australia will look start new under the captaincy of Tim Paine. England has been performing brilliantly their 1st round exit from World Cup 2015 held in Australia and New Zealand.

Dawid Malan has been added to the squad that will play Scotland on 10th June while Sam Billings added as a cover for ODI series against Australia. The first match of 5 matches ODI series against Australia starts on 13th June at Oval, London. The ECB official said that he will assess this week but did not indicate when he would return to the ODI squad.

England is one of the strong favourites to win the ICC World Cup 2019. Ben Stokes has been their star all-rounder who can score quick runs and also pick wickets.  He played the first test match against Pakistan at Lords where he scored 47 runs and took 3 wickets.
