The Indian side decimated Windies yesterday. The dominance exhibited by the top order has been a wonderful sign for the entire fan base as the issues regarding number four seem to be solved after Rayudu”s consistency. However, a former legendary Indian skipper isn”t really satisfied by an exclusion here.
Sourav Ganguly isn”t content as KL Rahul has been repeatedly ignored in the ongoing series. He has been sitting out of the squad since the first ODI after his dismal performance in the longer formats.

In a column for times of India, Ganguly wrote “India has a lot to think about it. I still believe Lokesh Rahul shouldn”t be sitting out. The middle-order desperately needs to be given a good look. The selectors are leaving it too late.”

Rahul has always been preferred as a backup opener for the side in the absence of Dhawan/Rohit. But his performance in the middle order has been really destructive as he got two T20I centuries to his name in overseas tours. Though KL Rahul is in a race for the number four position, lack of chances for him has certainly upset the Indian former skipper.
Ganguly also had a lot of praise for Jason Holder and his men for their mettle shown in the middle. He said that the character shown by the side is really appreciable after their failure in the longest format of the game.
Ganguly fell short of words to describe the consistency exhibited by Virat Kohli. “Once again, it has totally been a Virat show. One is at a loss of words when it comes to talking about his superlative talent,” he said.
