Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper had earlier requested to allow wives and girlfriends for the overseas tours. The CoA considered his plea and said that they are allowed to stay with the players ten days after their arrival at the destination.

This news had really put a smile on several faces in the camp. However, certain “bizarre” requests were made by Kohli and his men for the upcoming World Cup 2019 at England.

Players have also asked the committee to book special coach in the trains to travel to venues than buses. It seems that England used trains as their means of transport where the visitors were on wheels which really made them tiring.

Though  CoA has not considered this point initially citing the presence of fans in the train, the team has stressed to consider this particular request so as to remain fresh during travel.

The players also requested to allow their wives and girlfriends to be accompanied throughout the tour. It is to be noted that though they were allowed on many previous occasions, it was for a limited amount of time. But this time as the tournament spans over a month, it will be interesting how the BCCI and CoA can answer their requests.
