Out of the 35 T20Is that Rohit Sharma has led Team India in, they have secured 29 wins and six losses. Rohit Sharma is just one win behind Virat Kohli to become the second most successful Indian captain in T20Is.
Recently, the Indian skipper achieved an illustrious record after India defeated England in the first T20I at Southampton. He owns the record for most consecutive wins by a T20 International captain. Under his leadership, Team India has won 14 successive matches in T20Is since 2021.
The Mumbai batter took over the leadership duties as a full-time captain in T20Is after Virat Kohli stepped down from the post following the 2021 T20 World Cup. With Kohli certain to not take up the leadership role again, it will be impossible for him to break this record.
